An 8-year-old girl studying in class 3 died of suspicious cardiac arrest in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad city on Friday. Giving information, officials said that this incident took place on Friday morning at ‘Zeber School for Children’ located in Thaltej area. School principal Sharmistha Sinha said, “The girl Gargi Ranpara suddenly fainted while going to her class in the morning.”
Student seen going towards class in CCTV
In the CCTV footage released by the school management, the girl was seen walking and walking towards her class. But then she sits on a chair due to restlessness. Later, in the presence of teachers and other students, the unconscious student fell from the chair. Sinha said, “When Gargi reached school in the morning, she was normal and sat on a chair in the corridor while going towards her class on the first floor. After this she suddenly became unconscious. Seeing him having difficulty breathing, our teachers gave him ‘Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)’ and called an ambulance.
Kept on ‘ventilator’, but life could not be saved
Considering the girl’s condition to be critical, the personnel decided to take her to a nearby private hospital in their vehicle without any delay. “The doctors there told us that Gargi had suffered a heart attack,” he said. They also put him on ‘ventilator’, but his life could not be saved.
After receiving the news of the girl’s death, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Sector-1 Joint Commissioner of Police Neeraj Badgujar said that investigation has been started in this regard and the girl’s body has been taken for post-mortem to find out the exact cause of death.
