Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in Gujarat. Along with rivers and streams, roads and fields are also flooded. People trapped in the floods are being taken to safer places. In such a situation, a crocodile entered Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda on Thursday. As soon as the information was received, the forest department team reached the spot. The crocodile’s jaws were first tied with a rope. Then eight people were made to sit on it to control it.

It can be seen that the people of the rescue team ask all the people to sit on the crocodile together by saying one, two, three… All the people are made to sit from the jaw to the tail. After some time, everyone lifts the crocodile together and puts it in a trolley.

‘Water deluge’ in Gujarat

A red alert has been issued in 11 districts of Gujarat on Thursday due to heavy rains. So far 29 people have died in the state due to rain or rain-related incidents. A yellow alert has also been issued in 22 districts today. The help of the Indian Air Force has also been taken. Some people have been airlifted and shifted to other places.

Apart from the NDRF and SDRF, the Army, Indian Air Force and Coast Guard are carrying out rescue and relief operations in the rain-ravaged areas, in which about 17,800 people have been shifted to safer places and 2,000 people have been rescued so far, officials said. According to an official release, 140 reservoirs and dams and 24 rivers in the state are flowing above the danger mark. The rains have also disrupted traffic and train movement as roads and railway lines have been inundated. The release said that 122 out of 206 dams have been put on high alert due to a sharp rise in their water level.
