A deserted night, an army officer and his girlfriend; goons held her hostage and gang-raped her; a horrifying story from Indore

What happened to two army officers and their girlfriends in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday night is extremely horrifying. The officers, who had gone out for a drive with their two female friends, were held hostage by miscreants at a secluded place late at night. They demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. During this, a woman is also accused of gang rape. The police have identified 6 accused so far. Two of them have been taken into custody.

Rural SP Hitik Vasale said that two army officers from UP had come for training at the Infantry School in Mhow. Both of them had gone out for a night walk with their female friend. The miscreants held them hostage near the historic Jam Gate, about 50 km from Indore. The victim officers claim that one of their friends was gang-raped at gunpoint. The army officers have suffered minor injuries.

According to the complaint, a lieutenant said that they had gone to Ahilya Gate near Jam Gate on Mhow-Mandleshwar Road in a car at night. Here both of them were partying with their friends till about 2:30 in the night. One officer was in the car with his girlfriend, while the other was in another car nearby with his friend. Just then 6-7 miscreants came near the car. They got both of them out. When a scuffle broke out between them, hearing the noise, the other officer also came with his friend.

According to the complaint, the attackers held the officer and his friend in the car hostage at gunpoint. They asked the other officer to arrange a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. The officer went some distance with his friend and called his commanding officer and informed him about the incident. The commanding officer informed the police.

Meanwhile, the woman who was held hostage was also gang-raped. By the time the police reached the spot, the accused had fled towards the forest. The police conducted a search operation and caught two accused from the forest. The search is also on for the other accused. In the morning, the victim was given a medical checkup at the Civil Hospital in Mhow. A case has been registered at the Badgonda police station under sections 70 (gang-rape), 310-2 (robbery), 308-2 (demanding ransom) and other sections of the IPC.
