A young man was shot dead in Daniyawan, Patna, the capital of Bihar, for opposing goat theft. The nephew of the deceased could not bear this shock and armed criminals shot and killed Upendra Manjhi (32). Meanwhile, nephew Rajiv Manjhi (22) died of shock due to the murder of uncle Upendra Manjhi. The incident occurred on late Saturday night at Erai Mushari in Shahjahanpur. After the incident, the criminals fled towards Karayparsurai in Nalanda. Police, who reached the spot after receiving information, have sent both the bodies for post-mortem to Patna. Meanwhile, the police is conducting raids to arrest the criminals.
Three criminals were running away after stealing a goat in Erai Mushari late on Saturday night. Then the villagers saw them and started shouting. The villagers chased the three criminals for about half a kilometer till the Lokain river bridge. After this the criminals started firing. Upendra Manjhi, who reached the criminals, was shot, due to which he was seriously injured. At the same time, nephew Rajiv also fainted after giving blood from his uncle’s body. The villagers hurriedly admitted both of them to Daniyawan Hospital, where the doctors declared both of them dead. It is suspected that Rajiv died due to a heart attack. On receiving the information, Shahjahanpur police station in-charge Munna Das reached with the force and sent the body to Patna for post-mortem.
As soon as the dead body reached the village, there was chaos. As soon as the dead body of uncle and nephew reached Erai Mushahari on Sunday afternoon after postmortem, a huge crowd of people gathered. The atmosphere became sad due to the crying of family members and women. Let us tell you that Upendra Manjhi has two small sons and a daughter. Whereas, Rajiv Manjhi has a three-year-old son. Both their wives and relatives are crying badly. Fatuha DSP-2 Pankaj Kumar reached the spot and investigated the matter. He said that the criminals had fled towards Karayparsurai after the incident. Due to which raids are being conducted in Karayparsurai police station area of Nalanda, adjacent to Shahjahanpur. Police have claimed that the murder accused will be arrested soon. The death of two people of a family has caused mourning in the village.
