The deployment of additional police force in Shimla suburb Sanjauli due to tension arising out of the mosque dispute has been withdrawn. For the last one month, there was strict police vigil in Sanjauli Masjid and market. Police personnel from various battalions of the state police were deployed here. Apart from this, ASP level officers were also sitting in Sanjauli police post. However, now that the situation has become normal, the additional police force has been removed from here. The local police is now handling the security of Sanjauli Masjid.

Dhali Police Station SHO Virochan Negi has confirmed the removal of additional police force. He told on Friday that Sanjauli is now guarded by the local police and the police personnel called from the battalion are not deployed.

According to the information received, additional police force deployed in Sanjauli has been deployed for International Kullu Dussehra. Kullu Dussehra festival will be organized from 13 to 19 October and people turn up in large numbers. Hundreds of gods and goddesses also reach Kullu Dussehra. In such a situation, the police force deployed in Sanjauli has been called to Kullu Dussehra for tight security arrangements during the Dussehra festival.

Apart from this, Shant Yagya Utsav also started from Friday at Churdhar, a famous religious place in Sirmaur and Shimla district. Chhoti Churdhar is the highest peak of district Sirmaur where there is an ancient temple of Shirgul Maharaj. Thousands of devotees throng the Shant Yagya festival also. During this period, police personnel are called from battalions and other places to maintain security.

Let us tell you that due to the ongoing mosque dispute in Sanjauli, the situation here had become critical in the month of September. On September 11, Hindu organizations had staged a violent demonstration in Sanjauli market. The protesters broke the barricades and reached near the mosque site. The police had to resort to lathi charge to drive them away.

Some protesters are also accused of pelting stones at police personnel. Its video was also revealed. Many were injured in the clash between police and protesters. A dozen policemen are also included in these. In such a situation, additional police force was deployed for security. After the decision of the Municipal Corporation Commissioner Court on October 5 in the Sanjauli Masjid case, the situation here is now normal.
