Rahul Gandhi News: Congress is completely isolated in the Delhi Assembly elections. All the parties included in the India Alliance have announced their support to Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is also included among the leaders who have said to support AAP. This stance of Tejashwi is proving to increase the concern of Congress because assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar also at the end of this year.
Amidst this ongoing tussle between RJD and Congress, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is going to visit Patna on January 18. This phase of Rahul Gandhi is being considered very important from the political point of view and it is being seen as an attempt to save friendship with RJD. Along with this, Congress has also started gearing up so that pressure can be put on RJD regarding seat sharing at the time of assembly elections.
RJD increased pressure on Congress
After the election defeat in Haryana and Maharashtra, the pressure from allies on Congress is continuously increasing. Bihar is also not untouched by this. RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav are also trying to wink at Congress. Recently, when Mamata Banerjee staked claim for the leadership of the India Alliance, the RJD chief had supported Mamata.
From this, RJD’s attitude towards Congress and Rahul Gandhi can be understood. Along with this, RJD leaders are also seen pushing Congress on the backfoot on the issue of seat sharing in Bihar. Congress is not in a position to show strength on its own in Bihar and hence the party is trying to save its political existence by joining hands with RJD. Rahul Gandhi’s proposed Bihar tour is being considered as an attempt to increase friendship with RJD.
Congress is demanding more seats
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav had recently given a statement that the India alliance was formed only for the Lok Sabha elections. However, along with this he also said that the friendship between RJD and Congress in Bihar is old. Recently, Congress leaders had claimed 70 assembly seats in Bihar.
However, experts believe that the RJD leadership will not give so many seats to Congress. In such a situation, the possibility of increasing tension between RJD and Congress in the coming days cannot be ruled out.
All eyes on Rahul Gandhi’s visit tomorrow
Amidst the ongoing tussle in the relations between Congress and RJD, Rahul Gandhi’s proposed visit to Patna on January 18 is being considered very important. Rahul Gandhi will participate in the Constitution Security Conference organized at Bapu Auditorium in Patna. In view of Rahul Gandhi’s visit, posters and banners are being put up on the streets of Patna. Bihar Pradesh Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh says that Rahul Gandhi will also address the meeting of workers in the party’s state office.
On this occasion, he will also inaugurate the renovation of the main auditorium of the State Congress and the new building built for the employees of the state office.
However, it is not yet known whether Rahul Gandhi will have any meeting with RJD leaders during his visit or not. However, Congress is trying to make this visit of Rahul Gandhi a big show. Through this, the party wants to signal its strength so that it can be successful in putting pressure on RJD in the coming days. Everyone’s eyes are also on the attitude of RJD leaders during Rahul’s visit.
