In Ratlam too, the police has received a complaint of allegedly waving a Palestinian flag during the ‘Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi’ procession. Earlier, similar complaints were received from Balaghat and Mandla districts of MP.

After Mandla and Balaghat, now the police has received a complaint of allegedly waving the Palestinian flag during the procession of ‘Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi’ in Ratlam, MP. In this case, the police have registered a case against unknown people. An officer said that the incident took place on September 17. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rakesh Sakha said that on the basis of Sanjay Patidar’s complaint, a case was registered against unknown people at the Station Road police station on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rakesh Sakha said that a video has also surfaced in this regard. On the basis of CCTV footage, the flag wavers are being identified. Investigation into the matter is ongoing. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under section 197 (2) of the BNS. Earlier, similar cases were registered in Mandla and Balaghat districts. Such incidents were also reported from Chhattisgarh.
According to a PTI-language report, police in Balaghat on Monday arrested three people for waving the Palestinian flag during a procession on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad. Police also detained a minor. Police said that the accused saw a video on Instagram and were inspired to wave the Palestinian flag.
It is noteworthy that a complaint was received about waving of Palestinian flag during the procession in Mandla, MP. According to Mandla Superintendent of Police Rajat Saklecha, a youth allegedly waved the Palestinian flag at Chilman intersection. The accused youth has been taken into custody. Legal action is being taken in this case. Mandla Kotwali police station in-charge Shafiq Khan had said that accused Fardeen along with others have been arrested. Police have registered a case under section 197 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
