Special committee set up for Common Civil Code
After Uttarakhand, now it has been said to bring the Common Civil Code (UCC) in Gujarat too. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi have jointly held a press conference on the issue. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken a historic decision. The CM has formed a committee regarding the Common Civil Code (UCC) in the state. A report will be made only after discussing with the guru of all religions by the committee formed.
PM Modi’s resolution will be realized in Gujarat
Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel said that India is accepting the 75th anniversary of the Constitution. In such a situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to implement the Common Civil Code for equal rights in the country in the country. The number of promises made, they have been fulfilled one after the other. In the same direction, Gujarat is committed to realize PM Modi’s resolve.
These retired judges were placed in the committee
CM said that the state government is moving forward in the direction of equal rights to all citizens. A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Ranjana Desai for the Common Civil Code in the state. There will be a committee of 5 people. Retired judges of the Supreme Court Ranjana Desai, CL Meena, RC Kodekar, Dakshresh Thakar and Geeta Shroff have been kept.
State government will get report in 45 days
In 45 days, this committee will submit its report to the state government. Based on this, the state government will take a decision on implementing the Common Civil Code. Along with this, CM informed that the customs of tribal society will be protected in the rules of Common Civil Code (UCC). The promise made by Home Minister Amit Shah will be kept in mind.
