Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Sunday that ‘Vande Metro’ projects are being considered to increase public transport facilities in the urban areas of the state. After attending a review meeting of the ongoing development works in Indore, Yadav said that we are preparing to take public transport in the state to Vande Metro. What will be the speed
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said that the existing metro rail can run at a maximum speed of 80 kmph, while the Vande Metro Rail running on the already built broad gauge line can achieve a speed of up to 160 kmph. He assured that before the Simhastha Kumbh Mela to be held in Ujjain in the year 2028, this city will be connected with Indore through metro rail.
Let us tell you that Mohan Yadav is the minister in charge of Indore. He has chaired a review meeting for the first time as the minister in charge regarding the development work of the district. The Chief Minister said that the pace of work already underway under the Metro project in Indore will be increased and elevated roads will be built to solve the traffic problem in the city. Yadav also said that the state government is moving fast towards forming a Metropolitan Authority by combining parts of Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar districts.
On Sunday, CM Mohan Yadav said that we have prepared a blueprint to form metropolitan authorities in four metros of the state. However, the best feasibility report in this regard has come about Indore and Ujjain. Metropolitan authorities will be formed in the rest of the metros as well. Yadav said that he instructed the officers in the review meeting to ensure planned development by increasing coordination between the urban and rural bodies of Indore.
The CM said that 29 villages were added to the limits of Indore Municipal Corporation in the year 2012. Public representatives have given different suggestions for providing drinking water, roads, sewage and other basic facilities in these villages. Along with top officials, the state’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Indore’s Lok Sabha MP Shankar Lalwani and the city’s Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava were also present in the review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister.
