Police busted a fake currency manufacturing factory in Surat

A fake currency manufacturing factory has been busted in Surat, Gujarat. According to information received from the police, four people have been arrested in the case. According to the police, this factory was running in the office of a store selling clothes online. According to the police, the accused were allegedly inspired by the web series ‘Farzi’. They were running this fake currency business under the guise of selling clothes online.

Fake notes worth Rs 1.20 lakh seized

Officers of Surat Police’s SOG team raided an office in Sarthana area on Saturday. During the raid, the team recovered fake notes worth Rs 1.20 lakh from here. Three people were also arrested. The fourth accused was arrested later. According to the police, the accused had rented an office in a building to run a business of online sale of clothes, but under the guise of this, they were printing fake notes.

What was recovered

The SOG team kept a close watch on the office and the people working there and when the three accused were found there to print fake notes, a raid was conducted. “Based on a tip-off, the police team raided the office and arrested Rahul Chauhan, Pawan Banode and Bhavesh Rathod and busted a small fake currency factory,” the police said in a release. The police recovered FICN worth Rs 1.20 lakh and printing equipment like foil paper, colour printer, printing ink, lamination machine, etc.
