After Sumit’s death in the plane crash on Thursday, his father said his pain in such a way that his eyes became moist. In the last stop of life, Sumit’s father got such pain that his tears are not taking the name of stopping.
Let me tell you that 241 passengers including senior pilot Captain Sumit Sabarwar lost their lives due to the crash of Air India Flight AI‑171, a few minutes after flying from Ahmedabad Airport to London in the afternoon of Thursday, June 12. Sumit made a very special promise to his 90 -year -old father a few days before that. But … this promise remained on the ground.
Father’s tears became burden
Veteran pilot Captain Sumit Sabharwal had an experience of about 8300 hours of flight. Sabharwal, a resident of Powai, allegedly promised his father that he would leave his job very soon and take care of his father all the time. According to the information, Captain Sabharwal was unmarried and he lived with his 90 -year -old father. Shiv Sena MLA Dilip Pandey, who had come to express mourning at Sabharwal’s house, told that a few days ago Captain Sumit told his father that he would leave his job and come to him forever and take care of him.
Captain Sumit’s neighbors said that the Sabharwal family has a deep connection with the aviation industry. Captain Sabharwal’s father has retired from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Whereas, his two nephews are also working as a pilot. A neighbor also told that whenever Captain Sabharwal was going to go out somewhere, he used to go only after asking his father to take care. But now his father is completely broken.
Justice and Sahara pleas
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and all the high officials reached the spot and met the family members of the victims and gave them the believing of giving them all kinds of economic and emotional support. The Tata Group gave confidence of compensation and assistance to the families of the deceased passengers, while the DGCA has said to release its report by the end of June.
An experienced pilot like Captain Sumit Sabarwar was sitting on the flight with his father, spending every moment with his father. The sweetness of that promise is alive in the form of tears spilling in his father’s eyes and but he remained incomplete. This incident not only reminds of the fragility of human life, but reminds of those personal dreams that will never be fulfilled.
