Madan Dilawar is the education minister in the Bhajanlal government of Rajasthan. On Sunday, he reached Udaipur’s Mahanlal Sukhadia University to attend a program. During this, while addressing the people, he said that comparing Mughal emperor Akbar with Maharana Pratap is an insult to Rajput warriors and the pride of Rajasthan. Dilawar said that Maharana Pratap was the protector of the people, while Akbar got many people killed for his own benefit, so it is foolish to call Mughal emperor Akbar great.

During his address, Dilawar claimed that there is no bigger enemy for Rajasthan and Mewar region than those who have described Mughal emperor Akbar as great in their school curriculum books. Dilawar said that he has checked the school curriculum books and nowhere has Akbar been shown as great. He warned that if any such school curriculum books are found, all of them will be burnt.
