Relatives carrying the dead body of the girl
A six-day-old girl in Surat, Gujarat became immortal even after death. Organ donation has shown a new direction to the society by implementing the slogan of Mahadan. The family members have brightened the lives of four people by donating the organs of the girl. The girl’s organs have saved the lives of four people. By turning the slogan of organ donation into reality, it has shown a new direction to the society. Both the kidneys of a 10-year-old child from Ahmedabad and a liver transplant were performed on a 14-month-old child from Surat.
Mayur Bhai, a resident of Rajkot, Saurashtra, had come to Surat to earn his living. He supports his family by doing plumbing work in Surat. On 23rd, Mayur Bhai’s wife Manisha gave birth to a daughter. Since the daughter’s condition was not well, she was brought to the ICU ward of Surat Diamond Hospital. Child specialist doctors left no stone unturned in the treatment to save little Pari, but Pari could not recover and went into coma. Doctors declared Pari brain dead.
Family members understood the importance of organ donation
The doctors contacted the girl’s family with Vipul Bhai of Surat’s Jeevandeep Organ Donation Foundation. Vipul Bhai explained the importance of organ donation and the entire process to Pari’s family. He told that by donating organs on the death of Pari, 4 people can get a new life. Pari’s family members supported Vipul Bhai’s views. Pari’s father Mayur Bhai told that after death the body will be burnt to ashes, but getting the organs to the needy people gives them hope of living a new life.
Organs transported through green corridor
After getting the consent of the family members, Gujarat Government organization SOTO was contacted. On the instructions of Soto organization, Pari’s liver was donated to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, both kidneys to IKDRC Hospital in Ahmedabad and both eyes were donated to Lok Drishti Eye Bank in Surat. Vipul Bhai of Jeevandeep Organ Donation Organization told that a green corridor was made from Diamond Hospital to Surat Railway Station to send Pari’s organs to Ahmedabad and Mumbai and it was transported in just 7 minutes. The liver of six-day-old Pari was transplanted into a 14-month-old boy from Surat. Both kidneys were transplanted in a 10-year-old boy from Ahmedabad. Jeevandeep Organ Donation Organization has also donated the organs of a 100-hour old baby and a 120-hour old baby.
