Samples of 59 medicines manufactured across the country including 20 from Himachal Pradesh have not met the standards. In Himachal, medicines for gastric, ulcer, pneumonia, bacterial infection, diarrhea, throat pain, constipation, heart blood circulation, back pain, anticoagulant, mental illness, epilepsy, fever and blood pressure have not met the standards. Now a notice will be issued to cancel their license.
State Drug Controller Manish Kapoor confirmed the failure of the samples in the August Drug Alert and said that notices will be issued to cancel the license of those drug industries whose samples have failed. The stock of medicines will also be recalled from the market. The department itself will also test the samples.

Two samples of gastric medicine of Genosis Pharmaceutical Company located in Moginand of Sirmaur, ulcer medicine Petomed of Digit Vision Company located in Kala Amb, pneumonia medicine Moxikaide CV of Alexa Company located in Baddi, bacterial infection medicine Amoxicillin of MG Life Science located in Sirmaur, insulin enhancing medicine Metfamin of Scotodil Company of Jhadmajri, diarrhoea medicine Rixim of Legion Healthcare of Parwanoo, throat pain medicine Fexofenadine of Max Star Company of Malkumajra have failed.
The samples of Lactulose, a medicine for constipation of Athene Life Science located in Kala Amb, Heparin Sodium Injection, a medicine for smooth blood flow of Health Biotech located in Sandoli, Cepodem Syrup, an antibiotic medicine of Hetro Lab of Baddi, Nimosulide, a pain medicine of Unispeed of Katha Baddi, Adrenaline, a medicine for blood flow in the heart of Elvis Health Care Company of Nalagarh, Diclofenac, a medicine for back pain of Universal Twin Lab of Gullarwala have failed.
The samples of Cefoperazone medicine for bacterial infection of Dexin Company of Baddi, Heparin injection, the anticoagulant medicine of Scatodil Company of Jhadmajri, Clonazepam, the mental illness medicine of Digital Vision located in Kala Amb, Phenytoin, the epilepsy medicine of Health Biotech of Sandoli, Paracetamol, the fever medicine of Bin Cure Pharma Company of Baddi and Telmisartan, the blood pressure medicine of Swiss Garnier Company of Una have failed.
