Asaram Family Tree: The alleged saint Asaram, who is serving life sentence on rape charges, has got a big relief from the court. Asaram, who is ill, has been granted bail by the court on medical grounds. However, his wife Lakshmi, son Narayan Sai and daughter Bharti will remain in jail. Asaram’s son Narayan Sai is also accused of rape. His wife and daughter are accused of being accomplices in this serious crime. Asaram’s wife and daughter used to brainwash the girls and then themselves take them inside the ashram.
Who is the alleged saint Asaram?
The alleged saint Asaram, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in a rape case, was born on 17 April 1941 in Nawabshah district of the present Sindh province of Pakistan. Asaram’s childhood name was Asumal. During the partition of 1947, Asaram’s father Nagarseth Thomalji Sirumlani and mother Mondhiba left Pakistan and came to Ahmedabad. His childhood was spent in extreme poverty.
After reaching Ahmedabad, Asaram’s father started working in wood and coal to earn the family’s livelihood. When he started earning some income from this business, Asaram’s father sent him to a school to study. After completing his studies, Asaram got married to Lakshmi. After marriage, when financial crisis started again, Asaram took the path of spirituality and changed his name from Asumal to Asaram.
As soon as he donned the cloak of religion, the family’s income started increasing day by day. After this Asaram married his daughter Bharti. But due to Asaram’s interference in the daughter’s in-laws house, she soon got divorced. After his daughter’s divorce, Asaram included her in his group. Due to Bharti’s powerful sermons, women and girls were greatly influenced by him. Narayan Sai and Bharti played an important role in expanding this empire of Asaram.
This is how dark deeds were exposed
However, later in 2013, two sisters made serious allegations against Asaram and his son Narayan Sai to the Surat Police in Gujarat. He filed an allegation of rape against both of them in the police station. She told that between 1997 and 2006, the father and son molested her in Motera Ashram. During the police investigation, the dark deeds of Asaram and his son have been exposed.
The police came to know that his wife and daughter were also accomplices in his crime. She used to brainwash the girls and send them to the father and son’s room in the ashram. In 2013, both the victim girls were 16 years old. Therefore the police registered a case under sections of child sexual abuse. After this the police arrested everyone. After the charges were proved by the court, all four were sentenced to life imprisonment. However, Asaram has got bail on medical grounds. His wife, son and daughter will currently serve their sentence in jail.
