Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will stage a dharna on September 28. Gehlot wrote on Instagram- To protest against this stubbornness of the government and to open the Gandhi Vatika Museum for the general public, I and all the Gandhians will stage a dharna on September 28, Saturday, from 11 am to 4 pm at the Gandhi Vatika Museum located at Gate No. 5 of Central Park.
Even after its inauguration about a year ago, the BJP government has not opened the Gandhi Vatika Museum in Central Park, Jaipur for the general public. This world-class museum has been built at a cost of about Rs 85 crore. I have personally and through a letter requested the Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma to open this museum to spread Gandhiji’s message of truth and non-violence among the public.
Let us tell you that Gehlot has been saying that with the aim of taking Gandhi’s philosophy to the youth, Gehlot established a separate Directorate of Peace and Nonviolence in the state. Rajasthan is the first state to have created a separate directorate to take Gandhi’s ideas to the general public. But as soon as there was a change of power in the state, Gehlot has put a stop to the work. The Bhajanlal government stopped the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Prerak Recruitment 2023 issued by the previous Congress government. Under this recruitment, recruitment was to be done on a total of 50000 posts.
This recruitment was to be done by the Department of Peace and Non-violence for all the revenue villages and all the wards of the urban area of all the districts of Rajasthan. The notification of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Prerak Recruitment 2023 was issued a few months ago. Under this recruitment, recruitment was to be done on a total of 50 posts. At present, there was a stay of the High Court on this recruitment. Meanwhile, orders have now been issued to stop the process going on for recruitment. Earlier, the Bhajanlal government had issued orders to close the Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Mitra Internship Scheme till December 31. Ashok Gehlot is also said to be angry about this.
