Assam minister challenges Congress
At the same time, Assam Minister Piyush Hazarika retweeted the CM’s announcement and challenged the opposition party and said that I challenge the Assam Congress to either welcome the beef ban or go and settle in Pakistan.
Let us tell you that the Chief Minister had already indicated to ban beef. Speaking to reporters last Sunday, he had said that he was ready to ban beef consumption in Assam if Congress submitted a written request. This statement of CM has come after the allegations made by Congress leaders. Congress leader Rakibul Hussain had accused BJP of distributing beef to woo voters during the by-elections in Muslim-dominated areas.
