Attempt to rape daughter in front of mother’s eyes, accused ran away when woman raised alarm, caught by police

In Karakat, Bihar, an attempt was made to rape a mother in front of her daughter. After which the accused ran away when the woman raised an alarm. However, the police have arrested the accused. According to the information, a shopkeeper tried to forcibly rape a teenage girl who had gone to a shop to buy eggs in a village of Karakat police station area. While his mother was standing outside the house watching. When he feared something untoward. Immediately she ran and reached near the chicken farm and started making noise. Hearing this, nearby people arrived and opened the door of the poultry farm and saved the minor girl. The accused absconded there.

In this case, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused and sent him to judicial custody. The arrested accused is said to be Ujjwal Kumar, son of Sadhu Sah. In this regard, the girl’s mother has lodged an FIR in Karakat police station. In the FIR lodged, it has been said that his 13-year-old daughter had gone to Ujjwal Kumar’s shop located at a short distance from the village to buy eggs on Sunday evening. The mother was standing at the door looking at her daughter. He saw that the shopkeeper took the girl by the arm to a nearby chicken farm and locked her there.

After which she ran there and started shouting to open the door. Then he opened the door and ran away. In this case, the victim girl told that the accused had tried to molest and rape her. Hearing the noise he ran away. Bikramganj DSP Kumar Sanjay told a press conference at Karakat police station that an FIR has been registered in this case under the POSCO Act, the accused has been taken into custody, interrogated and handed over to the court.
