Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission
Gandhigar: Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Gujarat has obtained important milestones by registering 70% of citizens ie 4.77+ crore people under Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA). This feat has been shared by the state government on the occasion of Ayushman Bharat Day. Realizing PM Modi’s digital India view, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat Ayushman Bharat is playing a leading role in the digitalization of health records in the Digital Mission.
What is Ayushman Bharat Health Account?
Let us tell you that Ayushman Bharat Health Account is a digital health identity, which has been developed to integrate and safely store the health records of citizens. Under this, citizens are given a digital health ID, which keeps their health records safe online. This system ensures data security and privacy and information can only be shared with the permission of the citizen.
42,000 professionals also registered
So far more than 2.26 crore health records have been successfully linked digitally under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Also, registration of 17,800+ health facilities under this mission has also been completed, which is improving the access and quality of health services. Apart from this, more than 42,000 health professionals have also ensured the process of joining the digital health system by completing their registration.
Bhavnagar ABDM Microsite’s best performance in the country
In the implementation of 100 ABDM Microsite projects of the country, Bhavnagar Microsite in Gujarat has performed the best across the country. Even before the 9-month deadline set by the Government of India, Bhavnagar Microsite completed all its Mylstones. Not only this, Bhavnagar Microsite has also become the first microsite in the country to link 2 lakh+ health records. Also, the other three major Microsite Ahmedabad and Surat of Gujarat have also recently completed all its milestones. Rajkot Microsite is also very close to meeting all its goals.
It is worth noting that on 27 September 2021, the ABDM Microsite pilot project was started in Ahmedabad, Surat and Mumbai to connect private health professionals and institutions with digital services under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). After the encouraging results of this project, 100 ABDM microsites have now been implemented across the country.
‘Scan and share’ facility made OPD experience simple and comfortable
The ‘scan and share’ facility under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has led to significant improvement in the access and process of health services. This facility has been provided to registered citizens in 19 medical colleges attached to the state. Patients can now easily get their OPD token number by scanning just one QR code. Also, doctors get the patient’s Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha) immediately available to the doctors. The QR Code ‘Scan and Share’ feature has not only improved the experience of patients, but has also made the process of health services more efficient and effective.
