Baba Siddique Murder Case: Two accused who shot dead former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui have been produced in the court. Police have sought 14-day custody from the court for further investigation. The court has sent one accused Gurmail Singh to police custody for seven days, while there is still doubt regarding the age of another accused Dharamraj Kashyap.
Police have produced two shooters, Gurmail Singh (23) and Dharamraj Kashyap, arrested in the Baba Siddiqui murder case in the Esplanade Court. Crime branch employees are also present in the court room. However, Kashyap told the court that he was 17 years old. The government lawyer said that according to the Aadhaar card his age is 19 years. Mumbai Crime Branch has seized 28 live cartridges from the accused, who may be linked to an international gang. Police are seeking 14-day custody for further investigation.
Police said that one of the accused among the shooters is Gurmail Baljit Singh, a resident of Haryana. A case of murder has already been registered against him. His family members had thrown him out of the house 11 years ago. The family has demanded strict punishment for his actions.
Let us tell you that the two attackers arrested by the police are Gurmel Baljit Singh of Haryana and Dharamraj Rajesh Kashyap of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Whereas, the third suspect is Shiv Kumar, a resident of Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, who is still absconding. The police is busy searching for him. Police have registered a case against the three accused under murder, Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act.
