How many buses will be run?
CM Nitish Kumar told in his post that the NDA government will run buses to come home during festivals. Especially in festivals like Chhath, Holi, Deepawali and Durga Puja, those who return to their homes from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and West Bengal, the government will try its best to make their journey easy. Under this, a total of 299 A.C. on the routes of various states associated with Bihar. And non A.C. Buses will run.
How much will the government spend on the purchase of buses?
The scheme has been approved in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on 24 June 2025. The government will spend a total of Rs 105.82 crore on purchasing 75 air -conditioned and 74 deluxe buses. Apart from this, the government and 150 A.C. Buses will run under public-private partnership. During festivals like Chhath, Holi, Deepawali and Durga Puja, the government will also request the Center to run more special trains. This will make it easier for people to go to Bihar on festivals and they will be able to reach their home comfortably.
