Accused in police custody
Police arrested the accused who carried out the robbery incident in broad daylight in the bank of Sachin area of Surat on Tuesday. According to the information, the sensation spread in the entire area due to the incident of looting more than Rs 4 lakh at the tip of a gun in broad daylight at Gujarat Gramin Bank on Tuesday afternoon. The entire incident of robbery was captured in CCTV.

It is clearly visible in CCTV that the robber in the bank carried out the incident at gunpoint and escaped. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the police also came into action and started the investigation by forming separate teams. When the police checked the CCTV footage of the bank, the accused showed admission in the bank wearing a white cap. After entering the bank, the accused goes directly to the cash counter. There, by showing a gun to the female employees, the woman employees and a customer are absconding by locking them in the strong room. The police started investigation and the Surat Crime Branch was successful in 24 hours.
Bank’s looted money recovered
DCP Bhavesh Rojia of Surat Crime Branch said that we had started an investigation by forming separate teams with pistols in the bank. An information was received from technical surveillance and news. On the same basis, we caught Najesh alias Bablu Mohammad Sanaullah Sheikh. In the police interrogation, he has confessed his crime. Police have recovered a pistol and seven round cartridges from them. Along with this, about 3 lakh 33 thousand rupees and a woman employee’s bag has also been recovered from the bank.
The accused wanted to take a fang for Magon Prime parcel delivery
Police said that a month ago, a pistol and seven cartridges were purchased from Champaran in Bihar to loot in the bank. He was to take a fleech of parcel delivery of Amazon Prime and required Rs 10 to 12 lakhs for it. The accused also did the bank’s Reiki two days ago to carry out the loot. Only women employees are present in the bank. So he felt that he could easily carry out the robbery.
