Barkot cloud burst: A major accident took place late at night in Barkot area of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. According to the information, the cloud burst at around 1 pm. At that time 17 laborers were working at a construction site. Suddenly, all the workers were swept away due to heavy rains and heavy water edge. Police and SDRF team reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Rescue operation is going on and the work of finding laborers buried under the debris is going on. There is difficulties in relief work due to continuous rains and debris in the area. Things still remain serious.

According to preliminary information, there has been a cloudburst on the Yamunotri National Highway at night. Because of this, many people are trapped there and the work of evacuating them is going on.

According to the information received, the water level of river drains has increased considerably due to cloudburst. There is a possibility of heavy losses in many places. The Yamunotri highway has also been closed in some places. Police, NDRF and SDRF teams have left for relief and rescue operations. Debris has arrived in a drain near Sainachatti, which has stopped the flow of the Yamuna river. This has increased the threat to hotels built in the low -lying areas of Sianachatti. According to the District Disaster Management Center, there has been an incident of heavy rains and cloudburst in the sewing band area of Barkot tehsil. SDRF, police and revenue department teams have reached this place. So far, 8 to 9 laborers have been reported missing. The search operation is going on to search for the missing people.
