Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation Mayor Munesh Gurjar’s troubles are increasing in Rajasthan. The mayor may be suspended today. UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has hinted at suspension. An important meeting has been called today. The government may take a decision today (18 September) evening. Regional Deputy Director ACB is conducting a departmental inquiry against Munesh Gurjar in the corruption case. The administration is continuously sending him notices in this matter. Munesh Gurjar responded to the notice on 16 September.
Mayor Munesh while sending a reply to DLB said, “I have no role in the corruption case.” On the other hand, Munesh Gurjar has approached the High Court against this action. The hearing on this case is to be held in the coming days. Mayor Munesh Gurjar has been suspended twice before. Both times Munesh took refuge in the High Court and remained back on the post of Mayor. For the third time also she is trying to defend herself by going to the High Court. Munesh Gurjar said, “This action is politically motivated.” She also approached the High Court in protest against this action. Now the hearing on this case will be held in the High Court in the coming days.
In fact, a notice was issued by the Department of Autonomous Governance and Anti-Corruption Bureau on Mayor Munesh Gurjar, who is surrounded by allegations of corruption and bribery. A date was also fixed to respond to this notice. The NCB will also present the charge sheet on September 19. During this time, Munesh Gurjar has been instructed to be present in the court.
Munesh Gurjar submitted the reply to the notice to the Deputy Director (Regional) of the Local Bodies Department on Tuesday. The Mayor herself did not come, but sent the reply through a lawyer. She has no role in any corruption case. The Deputy Director will examine the reply and officially submit his report to the Director, Local Bodies Department. The report will probably be sent on Wednesday and on that basis orders will be issued for the suspension of the Mayor.
