Bihar By Election Result : NDA has won a big victory in the by-elections held on four assembly seats in Bihar. The candidates of the opposition Grand Alliance have faced a crushing defeat on all four seats. Election strategist Prashant Kishore had fielded the candidates of his party Jansuraj in the electoral arena for the first time, but in the very first examination, Prashant Kishore proved to be a complete failure.
The RJD-led opposition Grand Alliance had high hopes in this by-election, but the hopes of the Grand Alliance have suffered a severe blow. Assembly elections are going to be held in Bihar next year and the by-elections held on four seats are being considered a big signal for next year’s assembly elections. The result of the by-election has also given great strength to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
NDA succeeded in showing its strength
Assembly by-elections were held in four assembly seats of Bihar, Ramgarh, Tarari, Belaganj and Imamganj. Due to proposed assembly elections in the state next year, both the ruling and opposition camps had put in full force in this by-election. Prashant Kishore also wanted to show his strength through Jansuraj Party so that he could enter the electoral arena with full strength in the assembly elections to be held next year.
NDA has been successful in showing its strength in the assembly and elections held on these four seats. By winning all four seats, NDA has strengthened its political ground for next year’s assembly elections. BJP has also got new strength in this by-election as the party has won the Tarari assembly seat for the first time.
Manjhi’s daughter-in-law also won the election
Talking about the results of the by-election, Sunil Pandey’s son Vishal Prashant, contesting on BJP ticket, defeated CPI(ML)’s Raju Yadav by 10,612 votes on Tarari assembly seat. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has succeeded in making his daughter-in-law Deepa Manjhi win the elections.
Deepa Manjhi defeated RJD’s Roshan Manjhi by 5945 votes from Imamganj assembly seat of Gaya district. Jitendra Paswan of Jansuraj Party stood third in Imamganj. Gaya district is considered to be the stronghold of HAM Party leader Jitan Nam Manjhi and he has once again managed to show strength in his stronghold.
RJD’s fort collapsed
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party RJD has suffered the biggest blow in Belaganj assembly constituency. RJD had been in control of this assembly seat for almost three decades, but this fort of RJD has collapsed in this assembly by-election. In this assembly constituency, RJD leader Surendra Yadav’s son Vishwajeet has been defeated by JDU’s Manorama Devi. He has won by 21,391 votes.
BJP’s Ashok Singh has managed to win in Ramgarh. He defeated BSP’s Satish alias Pintu Yadav in an interesting contest. RJD has also suffered a major setback in this assembly constituency as Ajit Singh, son of state RJD president Jagdanand Singh and brother of RJD MP Sudhakar Singh, reached the third position. From this it can be understood how RJD’s political ground has slipped.
Big signal for assembly elections
Before next year’s assembly elections in Bihar, this election was being considered as a semi-final contest for power and in this contest, NDA has been successful in showing its strength. It has become clear that the path of the opposition grand alliance will not be easy in the assembly elections to be held next year. To counter the NDA, the opposition grand alliance will have to make a new strategy.
Before the by-election, Jansuraj leader Prashant Kishore had claimed that he would be successful in causing a major upset in the by-election itself, but his claim has proved to be completely baseless. He could not prove successful in gaining the support of the voters of Bihar.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar got big power
The result of the by-election has once again confirmed the strong leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In recent times, there have been various speculations regarding the health of Nitish Kumar, but the results of the by-elections have made it clear that people still have faith in the leadership of Nitish Kumar. This victory on four seats has given great strength to NDA.
