Bihar Politics: Has preparations for killing democracy in Bihar? Is there a plan to exclude crores of people from the voter list before the 2025 assembly elections? And the biggest question – is all this being done according to the ‘political needs’ of the BJP sitting in power at the center? On Friday afternoon, the allegations made in a joint press conference of the Grand Alliance in Patna shook the politics of not only Bihar but the whole country. Former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav directly accused the Central Government, Election Commission and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of shaking the roots of democracy. He claimed that the Election Commission is going to prepare a new list by removing the current voter list of 8 crore voters in Bihar – and the intention behind it is dangerous.

Dangerous conspiracy of voter ban? Tejashwi opened black truth

What Tejashwi Yadav said from the stage was nothing short of a blast. He directly alleged that the BJP wants to deliberately cut the votes of poor, laborers, Dalit and backward sections so that the electoral equation can be done in its favor. He said – “BJP is seeing its defeat in front, so it is weakening democracy. This is a conspiracy, and it is targeted by Bihar.” Tejashwi also said that a delegation of India alliance will soon go to the Election Commission and will challenge the issue at a constitutional level. But the question is that under whose pressure is the Election Commission thinking of taking such a big step? Is this really just a ‘technical process’ or a well-planned political move?

Nitish-Modi’s ‘secret deal’? Opposition claims – Bihar was made laboratory!

Tejashwi Yadav did not stop here. He also made a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said that “Nitish is going to Delhi repeatedly, while democracy is being pressed quietly in Bihar.” Tejashwi claimed that Prime Minister Modi himself is scared and he has prepared this strategy in view of his defeat in Bihar so that the vote bank of the opposition can be cleared. The Grand Alliance alleges that Bihar has been made a ‘political laboratory’ from where if this conspiracy is successful, it will be implemented across the country. That is, first cut the votes of the poor, then conduct the desired elections and later say – “It is the decision of the public.”

“Elections have been held since 1952, now voterbandi is happening!” – Dipankar Bhattacharya’s sharp attack

CPI (ML) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya called the entire process “Voterbandi”. He said, “Since 1952, there has never been talk of ending the voter list in this way. It is not just an election strategy, but the constitution killing.” He questioned the Election Commission and said that when every citizen in the country has the right to vote, then how can the Commission ‘select’ who will be voters and who will not? Dipankar insisted that the work of the commission is to include everyone, not to take out. “This is not demonetisation, votes.

Warning of landing on the streets, the call of movement!

Other leaders of the Grand Alliance gave a strong warning to the Election Commission on the occasion. He says that if the process of preparing a new list by removing the current voter list is not stopped, then the public will take to the streets. He directly described it as a democratic crisis. The leaders said that this is not a general administrative process, but a well -planned conspiracy to rigor votes before the election. If the names of millions of people are removed from the voter list, then it would be the biggest blot on the validity and fairness of the election.

Election Commission in the circle of questions! What has become the tool of power?

This entire incident has once again brought the role of the Election Commission under suspicion. The opposition is asking that at whose behest the commission is changing the voter list? Is this step really for transparency or has the BJP a machinery to win ‘force’ in Bihar? The silence of the Election Commission becomes more suspicious between all these allegations and questions. The most basic process of democracy – election – If it comes under suspicion, then what is the meaning of the Constitution?

Finally just one thing

What is happening in Bihar is not just a state issue. This is the test of democracy of the whole country. If crores of voters are disappeared in a state at the behest of power, then whose will be the next number? Tejashwi Yadav’s warning is echoing – “If this time the poor are erased from the voter list, then the next time democracy will be erased from the Constitution!” Will the public understand this conspiracy? Or will Bihar become the state of ‘selected voters’ in 2025 elections? The answer is yet to come, but the alarm bell is now being heard clearly.
