Experts say that after this, he can be given the responsibility of the post of state president by the party. The party is trying to solve the OBC equation by handing over a big responsibility to Raghuvar Das, who belongs to the OBC community.
Raghuvar Das will take membership of BJP tomorrow
Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghuvar Das had recently resigned from the post of Governor of Odisha. The President has accepted his resignation. BJP sources say that as part of a larger strategy, the party has decided to make Raghuvar Das active in the state politics by getting him to resign from the post of Governor.
A program has been organized tomorrow to get party membership for Raghuvar Das. Through this, the party is trying to indicate that Raghuvar Das will remain active in Jharkhand politics in the coming days. The new state president of Jharkhand BJP is going to be selected in February.
It is believed that Raghuvar Das can be given this responsibility while current state president Babulal Marandi can be given the post of Leader of Opposition. It was during Marandi’s tenure as the state president that the party had contested the assembly elections in Jharkhand in which the party had to face defeat.
BJP changed its strategy for this reason
BJP sources say that as per the strategy prepared earlier, Raghuvar Das was going to resign from the post of Governor even before the assembly elections, but later the party changed its stand. The party high command believed that taking this step before the assembly elections could raise many questions regarding the leadership of the party in the state.
Along with this, there was also the fear of factionalism developing. For this reason the decision to resign was postponed at that time. Now, after the crushing defeat of BJP during the assembly elections, the party leadership has decided to activate Raghuvar Das once again in the state.

Like the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP could not get the support of the tribal vote bank in the assembly elections too. The Hemant Soren-led India Alliance had won a major victory in the state due to support from tribal voters. Now BJP is again engaged in social engineering in the state.
Under this, the party has decided to make its big face Raghuvar Das, who belongs to the OBC community, active in the state. Along with this, the party is also trying to balance the Dalit vote bank with the OBC community. Experts say that after the activism of Raghuvar Das, BJP may get new strength in the state.
