These names are leading in the BJP national race
The new national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party will be selected only with the consent of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the party constitution, only a person can be made the national president who has been an active member of the party for about 15 years. The names of many senior leaders are coming forward in the race for BJP National President. However, no official announcement has been made yet by the BJP leadership in this regard.
In the political circles, the name of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is at the forefront for the post of BJP National President. Along with this, there is also a strong possibility of one of the Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Dharmendra Pradhan, Manohar Lal Khattar, Bhupendra Yadav and party general secretary Vinod Tawde becoming the national president.
Vinod Tawde, Bhupendra Yadav and Dharmendra are considered very close to Prime Minister Home Minister Amit Shah. It is noteworthy that Rajnath Singh has held the command of BJP organization from 2005 to 2009 and again from 2013 to 2014. Nitin Gadkari held the post of BJP President from 2010 to 2013. Amit Shah has been the National President of BJP from 2014 to 2020.
