The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list for the Haryana Assembly elections. A total of 67 candidates have been included in this list. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will be fielded from Ladwa assembly constituency. The party has decided to field prominent leaders from various assembly constituencies. Apart from fielding CM Naib Singh Saini, the BJP has fielded Gyan Chand Gupta from Panchkula, Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt, Kanwar Pal Gurjar from Jagadhri, Sunita Duggal from Ratia, Bhavya Bishnoi from Adampur and Tejpal Tanwar from Sohna.
This list has been released by the BJP after several rounds of hard work after the meeting of the Central Election Committee. According to the list, former Haryana BJP president Om Prakash Dhankhar has been made a candidate from Badli. Devendra Singh Babli, Sanjay Kablana and Shruti Chaudhary, who recently joined the BJP, will contest from Tohana, Beri and Tosham respectively. Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh’s daughter Aarti Singh will contest from Ateli. The names of Captain Abhimanyu, Kuldeep Bishnoi’s son Bhavya Bishnoi and former MP Sunita Duggal are also included in this list.
Voting will be held in a single phase for all 90 seats of Haryana Assembly. Earlier the date of election was fixed for October 1. It was changed to October 5. The results of the assembly elections will be declared on October 8. The term of the current BJP government in Haryana is ending on November 3, 2024. Talking about the results of the last assembly elections, BJP was successful in winning 40 seats while Congress won 31 seats. Other parties got 19 seats, which also included JJP. After the last assembly elections, BJP and JJP formed the government together.
