More than five lakh teachers were recruited in Bihar in the last one year. This has improved the teacher-student ratio in government schools. But a shocking fact has been revealed in the recruitment. In the teacher recruitment exam TRE 1 conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission, BPSC, disabled people from other states were recruited in the general category. Under the Right to Information, Bihar Public Service Commission has given the number of such teachers. 268 disabled people from other states have been given jobs in the general category. Most of these candidates are from Uttar Pradesh.
After filing the RTI, many teacher candidates are angry about the reply received from the commission. Some teacher candidates told that under the RTI, the number of such handicapped candidates who have been reinstated in the general category in classes one to five was sought. The candidates alleged that in this recruitment, such people have also become teachers whose session has not even been completed. Allegations of many other irregularities have also been made. It is being said that by doing such work, the rights of the candidates of Bihar have been violated.

Regarding the recruitment, the candidates say that four percent seats are reserved for the handicapped in the teacher recruitment and that is only for the students of Bihar. But, by restoring the handicapped students of other states in the general category, injustice has been done to the students of Bihar. The 268 teacher candidates who have been reinstated from other states are in the category of orthopedic handicap. Earlier also, in response to RTI, Bihar Public Service Commission had told that 30 teachers who failed in the language exam have also been reinstated in the teacher recruitment exam. In the latest case, investigation and action has been demanded.
