The latest case is from Bhagalpur where a brother killed his sister by cutting her with a sharp weapon for a small piece of land. The incident took place in Chaurgaon Bind village of Asarganj police station area.
On Tuesday night, in Chaurgaon Bind Toli of Asarganj police station area, a brother, breaking the relationship, brutally murdered his sister Joga Devi by slitting her throat over a land dispute. The murder of sister by brother has become a topic of discussion in the area. In this case, the police have arrested one of the accused, Sunil Bind, son of Giro Bind, brother of the deceased. While the police is conducting raids to arrest Giro Bind.
Actually, the incident of murder of an old woman came to light in Chaurgaon Bind Toli on Tuesday. This matter has been exposed. The deceased’s grandson Suraj Kumar told the police that grandmother’s brother Giro Bind and his son Sunil Bind live in the neighbourhood. There is a dispute going on for five decimal land. Three months ago there was a fight over a land dispute. Suraj Kumar has expressed apprehension against them of killing his grandmother. The son of the deceased was murdered by Naxalites in Haveli Kharagpur police station area 20 years ago.

The granddaughter of the deceased told that when she did not see her grandmother at night, she woke up her grandfather. When Nana Kamleshwari Bind reached the verandah, he raised an alarm after seeing the blood-soaked body covered with a wheat sack. Hearing the noise, grandson Suraj Kumar and his wife, who were sleeping in the other room, came out and saw that Jago Devi was lying dead in a pool of blood. Police said that police raids were intensified in search of the accused. The accused will be caught soon.

A teacher was murdered four months ago also
Earlier also a similar incident had happened in Asarganj. Four months ago, Late Rahmatpur Basa resident of Asarganj. Muralidhar Upadhyay’s wife, retired teacher Manju Devi, was murdered by the criminals by tying her hands and feet, stuffing a cloth in her mouth and strangulating her. The deceased lived alone in the house and looked after her farm and barn. The son used to work in Deoghar. In this case, the father and son who gave milk were arrested.
