A bus full of foreign passengers going from Nepal to Bodhgaya met with an accident in Jehanabad on Wednesday morning. Eight Buddhist monks traveling in the bus were injured in the accident.

Eight Buddhist monks traveling from Nepal were injured in a road accident in Bihar’s Jehanabad district on Wednesday morning. A traveler mini loaded with foreign passengers went out of control and fell into a water-filled pit on the roadside. A total of 23 passengers from Vietnam, Myanmar and America were on board the bus. Most of them were Buddhist monks. All were going to Bodhgaya from Nepal by tourist bus. Three seriously injured Buddhist monks have been referred to Patna.
According to the information, this accident happened on Wednesday morning near Salempur village of Kadauna police station area. It is being told that the driver of the traveler bus suddenly lost control and the bus fell into a roadside pit. It is also being told that the bus collided with a truck before falling into the pit. The truck driver immediately fled from the spot with the vehicle.

Jehanabad SP Arvind Pratap Singh told PTI that a total of 8 Buddhist monks were injured in this accident. All were taken to the local hospital, out of which three were referred to PMCH in Patna for better treatment. Other injured were discharged after first aid. Police are investigating the accident.
