Bihar Fake Domicile Certificate: These days, strange cases are coming up during the voter list revision in Bihar. After fake names like ‘Dog Babu’ and ‘Donald Trump’, now a new case has come up which has surprised everyone. In Nasariganj zone of Sasaram district, a person applied for a domicile certificate in the name of ‘Kat Kumar’ and then put a photo of a cat instead of his photo. Due to this action, the government department is in a hurry and now preparations have been made for strict action in this matter.
Fake application hinders government work
This online application was received at RTPS counter in the name of ‘CAT Kumar’, father ‘Katy Boss’. The mobile number and email ID given in the application are also under investigation. Officials noticed that the name, father’s name, mother’s name and picture were all fake in the application. This mischievous act is considered to be an attempt to obstruct government work and tarnish the image of government system. The District Magistrate (DM) Udita Singh, taking the matter seriously, directed to register an FIR immediately. A case has been registered against this applicant (whose mobile number is also registered) by the concerned officer at Nasriganj police station.
Warning of strict action
This is not the first time that such a fraud has emerged in Bihar. Earlier, names like ‘Dog Babu’, ‘Sonalika Tractor’ and ‘Donald Trump’ were found in voter list and other government documents. It is clear from these incidents that some people are deliberately trying to make a joke the government process. DM Udita Singh has clearly stated that strict action will be taken against those who commit such acts. In this case, the police is now searching for the person who has made such a fake application. This incident has once again raised questions on the safety and verification procedures of online government services, which need to be noted.
