An atmosphere of celebration in the ancestral village in the joy of Sunita Williams returning to earth.
There was a festive atmosphere in her ancestral village in Mehsana district of Gujarat on Wednesday morning when NASA’s Astronaut Sunita Williams returned to earth. All the people of Jhulasan gathered in the village temple to watch the live telecast of the incident on TV. Everyone’s eyes were on Sunita’s safe return. As soon as Sunita Williams and other astronauts landed as a capsule land landed, the villagers started fireworks and swinging with ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
The villagers were eagerly waiting for Sunita’s safe return. The villagers performed a yajna and prayed in the temple for their safe return. Villagers said that they lit a unbroken light in the temple for Sunita’s safe return. After staying in the international space station for about nine months, when the news of Sunita’s return was soon, there was an atmosphere of excitement in Jhulasan. His close relative Naveen Pandya said that the people of the village prayed for Sunita’s safe comeback and lit the unbroken light.
A grand procession will be taken out in honor
Pandya said that the villagers have planned a grand procession in his honor. There will be a prayer meeting in the village to make enthusiasm like Diwali and Holi and fireworks will be done. He said that a procession will be taken out from the village school to the temple which will also include students. He said that after the procession arrives at the temple, Akhand Jyoti will be immersed. He said that the villagers are keen to invite Sunita to Jhulasan.
Sunita Williams has traveled to India three times
Please tell that Sunita Williams has visited India at least three times. She came to India after the space mission in 2007 and 2013. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2008. His father Deepak Pandya was originally from Jhulasan and moved to America in 1957. (With pti input)
