CET exam will be held on 27th and 28th September, know the special arrangements

The common eligibility test for graduation level will be held on 27th and 28th September in Rajasthan. 13 lakh candidates from the state will participate in it. This test will be common for 12 posts. Candidates securing 40% marks in the test will be eligible for the main exam. For the first time, live photos and handwriting samples have been taken from the candidates during the application to catch dummy candidates in this eligibility test.

These will be cross checked during the exam. Major General Alok Raj, Chairman of Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, said that this is a big exam because there are selections for many services in it. Last time 11 lakh candidates had applied for this exam, which has increased to about 13 lakh this time. This exam will be held in four shifts on 27 and 28 September. Its examination centers will be set up in 25 districts across the state.

Last time, there was a rule of 15 times for the main exam in the common eligibility test, but this time candidates securing more than 40% marks will be able to appear in the main exam. However, reservation categories will get 5% relaxation. He told that there will be no negative marking by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board in the exam. Although, earlier there was a provision of negative marking in it, but keeping in mind some special categories of candidates (backward caste, widow, sports, Divyang, ex-servicemen), the provision of negative marking was removed.

The biggest challenge before the board is that of dummy candidates. To prevent this, this time while filling the form, candidates have been asked to upload their live photo and handwriting sample in OTR. In such a situation, when the candidate arrives for the exam, he will be allowed to sit in the exam only after matching his live photo and admit card. Along with this, the handwriting sample will be taken from the candidate again during the exam and then the handwriting sample will also be taken during document verification. These will also be matched. If the handwriting does not match and he turns out to be a dummy candidate, then the candidate can be stopped at any stage.
