Char dham yatra: Online registrations for Chardham Yatra will start from next week. Chardham Yatra will be organized in Uttarakhand from 30 April. The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on Akshaya Tritiya (April 22), keeping in mind the disorder in the last registration, this time the percentage of online registration will be kept at sixty and the percentage of offline registration will be kept forty. Offline registration will be done ten days before the journey starts.
Preparations for the Disaster Management Department have started for Chardham Yatra. Chardham Yatra will be organized in Uttarakhand from 30 April. Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman said that ‘all departments are fully preparing their respective tasks to deal with the disaster’, and the department is constantly monitoring the travel situation. In areas where roads are bad, roads will be repaired by April 15. In order to control the number of passengers in case of high congestion in the dhams, various holding routes will be built on the journey from Haridwar. Passengers will be stopped at such places where stay and food facilities are available. Passengers will not be stopped at the Katapathar on Yamunotri road, but passengers will be stopped as required near Vikasnagar on this route. Officers from seven districts were also present in this meeting.
Where and how will the registration of Chardham Yatra
The date of opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham has been fixed on 4 May. The opening dates of the doors of the other three dhams will be clear during Mahashivaratri and Akshaya Tritiya festival. The administration has started all preparations keeping in mind the possible dates of opening the doors of the four dhams from 30 April to 4 May. For online registration of pilgrims, arrangements will be made on the website https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in/.
Where many registration counters will be set up in Rishikesh for registration of pilgrims, 20 in Rishikul, Haridwar and 15 in Vikasnagar. Additionally, the checking counter Barkot, Hina, Pandukeshwar and Sonprayag will arrange for registration due to unavoidable reasons.
There will be no VIP system in the first month, there is no chaos in the journey, it has been decided that there will be no VIP system during the first month of the journey. No pilgrimage will be provided with VIP Skart or other facilities. In this regard, a request letter will be sent to the Chief Secretaries of other states by the Chief Secretary of the state.
