Chhattisgarh naxalites surrender: In Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, on April 18, 33 Naxalites have surrendered to the security forces. According to the police, 22 Naxalites, including the first 9 women, surrendered to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and senior state police officers. After this, 11 others including 2 women also surrendered. Out of these 33 Naxalites, there was a reward of Rs 49 lakh on about 17 Naxalites.
22 were active in surrendered Naxalites- police
Superintendent of Police of Sukma district Kiran Chavan said that out of 33 Naxalites surrendered, 22 were active in Mad (Chhattisgarh) and Nuapada (Odisha) division and 11 were active in Panchayat Badastti in Phulbagadi.
He further said, “Under the Maad Division, there was a reward of Rs 8-8 lakh on Deputy Commander Muchaki Joga (33) and his wife Muchaki Jogi (28) in the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA). While 2 other Naxalites had a reward of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 2-2 lakh on Naxalites and Rs 50-50 thousand on 11 Naxalites.”
According to the information, all these Naxalites have been given an incentive amount of Rs 50,000 thousand under the rehabilitation policy of the state government. Apart from this, other facilities will also be provided to them.
Cobra commandos and Chhattisgarh Police have arrested 22 notorious Naxalites with modern weapons and explosive materials in various operations in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

Let us know that in the year 2024, 792 Naxalites surrendered in 7 districts including Sukma. Earlier on April 7, 26 Naxalites surrendered before the police and Central Reserve Police Force officials in Naxal -affected Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
