Hemant Soren Cabinet Expansion: Five days after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren has expanded the cabinet. Five ministers from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, four from Congress and one from RJD have been given place in Soren’s cabinet. The names of Deepak Birua, Ramdas Soren, Chamra Linda, Yogendra Mahato, Hafijul Ansari and Sudivya Sonu from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha have been sent to Raj Bhavan for the post of ministers.
Irfan Ansari, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Deepika Pandey and Radhakrishna Kishore have been made ministers from the Congress account. Similarly, Godda MLA Sanjay Prasad Yadav from RJG has been made a minister. The most interesting thing about the Soren cabinet expansion is that last year, for the first time in a year, the 12th post of Jharkhand cabinet has been filled in the beginning itself.
A total of five ministers in the cabinet are from Santhal.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren himself is from Santhal Pargana. Now, including the Chief Minister, five ministers have been made Santhal Pargana in his cabinet. Deepika Pandey, Irfan Ansari, Hafeezul Hasan and Sanjay Prasad are also from Santhal Pargana in Soren cabinet. There are total 18 Santhal Assembly seats in Jharkhand. Out of which India alliance has hoisted the flag on 17.
Deepak Birua and Ramdas Soren from Kolhan have got place in Hemant Soren cabinet. Whereas MLA from Palamu region of Jharkhand, Radhakrishna Kishore has been made minister. Shilpi Neha Tirkey and Chamra Linda from South Chotanagpur have been given ministerial berths in the Soren cabinet. Gomio MLA Yogendra Mahato from North Chhotanagpur and Sudivya Sonu from Giridih have got a place in the cabinet.
Efforts to include all castes including Dalits, OBCs in cabinet
Hemant Soren expanded the cabinet on Thursday after taking oath as the Chief Minister. Through this cabinet expansion, Hemant Soren has tried to woo all castes. Where people from five tribal communities have got a place in the cabinet of CM Hemant Soren. Hemant Soren himself also belongs to this society. Apart from Hemant Soren, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Deepak Birua, Chamra Linda, Ramdas Soren are from tribal community.
While Radhakrishna Kishore belongs to the Dalit community, Irfan Ansari and Hafizul Hasan are from the minority quota and have got a place in the Soren cabinet. Deepika Pandey and Sudivya Sonu have been made ministers in the cabinet of Hemant Soren of Jharkhand from general quota. Deepika Pandey is Congress leader and Sudivya Sonu is JMM leader. Similarly, Sanjay Prasad Yadav of Yadav community has also got the post of minister.
