Uttarakhand news: After the disaster in Dharali area of Uttarkashi district, a very emotional scene came out in front of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who was inspecting relief and rescue operations on Friday, which moistened the eyes of all the people present there.
Smt. Dhangauri Baroulia, a resident of Ishanpur in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, came to Uttarakhand with her family to visit Gangotri. Due to the horrific disaster on August 5, she got trapped with her family in Dharali. The situation became extremely challenging due to blockage and continuous debris and rapid curb.
On the instructions of the state government, quick relief and rescue operations were started in disaster affected areas. The Chief Minister himself has been monitoring relief work by being present in the area continuously for three days. Mrs. Baroulia and her family were evacuated by the untiring efforts of the rescue teams.
A piece of dupatta tied a rakhi to Chief Minister Dhami
On the first day of Rakshabandhan, when the Chief Minister was present in the affected area, Mrs. Baroulia got emotional and tore a piece of her dupatta and tied it to Chief Minister Dhami as a rakhi. This scene touched all the people present there deeply.
The Chief Minister also accepted this emotional moment politely and said that the state government is standing with every affected citizen in this hour of disaster and all possible assistance will be provided. He said that the state government is working with full commitment for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
This scene of human sensibilities in an inaccessible region like Dharali became an example of hope, faith and social solidarity amid calamity.
