Uttarakhand news: Chief Secretary Mr. Anand Burdhan hoisted the flag at a program organized at the Secretariat on the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day on Friday. Principal Secretary, Secretary, Additional Secretary, Officers of Secretariat Administration, Employees, and Children were present on the occasion. The Chief Secretary greeted everyone for the national festival. He bowed to the known and unknown freedom fighters who dedicated life to the independence of the country and said, “This country is indebted to him. This day gives us an opportunity to remember his sacrifice, courage, and dedication, who gave us precious gifts of freedom.”
The Chief Secretary said that Uttarakhand is committed to achieving the target of ‘Developed India 2047’. He said, “This is not just a concept, but Uttarakhand is working hard to achieve this goal. With the help of all of you, the concept of rich and strong Uttarakhand is becoming increasingly realized.” He informed that in the last years, Uttarakhand has achieved important achievements in various fields, as a result of which the goals of strong Uttarakhand are being met. He said that Uttarakhand is moving towards the category of best states with the participation of mother power and youth power.
The Chief Secretary said that in order to develop the country by the year 2047, according to the expectation of the Prime Minister, there is a need for hard work to make Uttarakhand a manufacturing hub, skill hub, Ayush Pradesh, and global tourism destination. He said, “Uttarakhand’s livelihood can be emphasized through mountain crops, coarse grains, and local products.” He emphasized the need to empower small and medium farmers, improve governance, and the need to campaign for capacity building between natural disasters.
The Chief Secretary said that for online monitoring and evaluation, PM The speed power portal (State) has been designed, through which projects such as Capital Assistance Scheme, Missing Link Scheme, Dashboard, CM Conclave, PMG, Pragati, E-Celebration, E-Aankhal, and Chief Minister’s Declaration are being reviewed and evaluated. The online application system of the Housing Department has been nominated by the Government of India’s Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance Department in the category of Best Practice for the State-based service delivery platform. Under the Vibrant Village Program, 51 border villages of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh have been selected for versatile development.
The Chief Secretary said that the ‘Apuni Sarkar’ portal has been recognized by the Government of India’s Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance Department as Best Practice under Chhemk Framework. He reported that the Spring and River Resuination Authority has been formed for water conservation, which aims to ensure sustainable use through natural water sources and rivers, increase in water emissions, measures, and monitoring. He said, “Uttarakhand is succeeding in rural and economic development with efforts like House of Himalayas and Vocal for Local.”
The Chief Secretary said that the Secretariat is the center of administrative system, which determines the direction of development of the country and the state along with shaping the policies. He said, “It is our responsibility to discharge our duties with loyalty, transparency, and dedication. Our policies and decisions affect the lives of the people, so the welfare of the public should be paramount.” He called upon everyone to work to make the public interest schemes of the central and state government successful.
