Surat: CISF jawan shoots himself with his own rifle at Surat International Airport. The soldier named Kishan Singh was immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Where he died during treatment. The reason why Kishan Singh shot himself has not been revealed yet. At present the police is investigating the matter.
Kishan Singh was a resident of Jaipur.
Inspector NV Bharwad of Dumas police station said that Kishan Singh was 32 years old. He was a resident of Jaipur and was posted at Surat airport. Bharwad said he was taken to a private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Since 2020, a total of 730 suicides have been reported across various CAPFs, Assam Rifles and NSG. Of these, 105 cases involved CISF personnel. The suicide rate in the CISF, which reached an all-time high of 18.1 per lakh personnel in 2022.
