Uttarakhand news: CM Dhami has instructed the secretaries of the concerned departments including the District Magistrate to prepare the assessment of private and public property damaged in the Dharhali disaster -hit area in a 7 -day timeline. Initial report has been given by eight concerned departments in this regard. The Chief Minister has instructed the Chief Secretary to send this assessment to the Government of India as soon as it is ready. Along with this, the CM has instructed to complete the immediate support distribution work being given by the government for all the disaster -hit areas of the state including Dharali. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami made it clear that this assistance amount is being provided to the affected people immediately, no negativity should be spread in this regard. The Chief Minister said that the temple of Kalpa Kedar Devta who was demolished in the Dharali disaster will also be constructed. The Chief Minister said that the people of Dharli are our own people, their best displacement will be done, there will be no shortage in this regard. The Chief Minister appealed to encourage the government machinery engaged in relief work, he also expected public cooperation in it. The Chief Minister said that everyone should avoid misleading and negative publicity in this regard.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami was reviewing the ongoing rescue operation in disaster control room, IT Park, Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun on Sunday.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed to smooth the road by working on a war footing till Harshil in Harshil disaster-hit area. In this regard, the concerned agencies including the Public Works Department have informed that the road connectivity up to Harshil will be started within 2 days as soon as the Limachigad Bridge is operated this evening. All arrangements for construction of the road have been completed at the earliest.
The Chief Minister has instructed the District Magistrate to make excellent arrangements for immediate contact and dialogue with 108 homeless families in the Dharali disaster, to provide their stay, food medicines and necessary facilities.
The Chief Minister has directed that a team of Geologists of IIT Roorkee, CSRE and other expert agencies should be sent immediately for the channelization of Dharali disaster -prone area.
In today’s meeting, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke to the disaster affected of Dharali along with the village head. Dharali Gram Pradhan and other villagers expressed gratitude for Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami to stay with him in Dharli for three days, encourage them, to form a three -tier committee for disaster assessment, start the process of compensation distribution immediately and for effective relief and rescue operations by the administration.
Appreciating all the government officials and personnel engaged in the relief and rescue operations of Dharali and Pauri disaster, Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that even during the Rakshabandhan festival, all the officers and personnel, police, NDRF, SDRF, personnel and army soldiers have shown courage, while working continuously in Dharli and other disaster areas while working away from their homes and continuously working in other disaster areas.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami also got information about disaster Rawat rescue operations from District Magistrate Pauri. DM Pauri Mrs. Swati Bhadoria told that 338 villages of Pauri are disaster affected. Damaged houses of disaster affected Sainzi village have been assessed. So far, compensation of Rs 50.86 lakh has been distributed to the affected people. Relief work in the district is being operated on mission mode.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Mr. Anand Vardhan, DGP Mr. Deepam Seth, Principal Secretary Shri RK Sudhanshu and all the concerned departments, Additional Secretary, District Magistrate Uttarkashi and Pauri and village heads and other villagers were present.
