Uttarakhand news: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officials during a high level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence that all school buildings of the state should be security audit. Children should not be seated in any situation in dilapidated and unsafe school buildings. No negligence related to the safety of children will be tolerated. The Chief Minister directed that wherever the school building is repaible, repair should be done soon and where there is a need for reconstruction, its action plan should be done and implemented promptly.
The Chief Minister has also given instructions to audit all the bridges of the state. He said that the bridges whose condition is deteriorating should be done on priority as per the requirement. It should be ensured that the condition of the bridges is regularly monitored and there is no loss of life due to dilapidated bridges anywhere.
The Chief Minister said that Triyuginarayan and other places of the state which are being developed as wedding destinations should be expedited. This is an important initiative towards promoting the state’s tourism and local employment. The Chief Minister directed that special care should be taken of quality, convenience and cultural dignity in the development of these sites. Also, the wedding policy of other states should also be studied so that an effective and attractive wedding destination policy can be developed in Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister directed that rapid work should be done towards developing two spiritual economic zones in the state. He said that this initiative will strengthen religious, cultural and spiritual tourism in the state and will also empower economic activities. He has instructed the concerned departments to work in a concrete action plan with mutual coordination in this direction. In the meeting, Principal Secretary Shri R.K. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Mr. Shailesh Bagoli, Mr. Vinay Shankar Pandey, Special Secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate, IG Shri KS Naganyal, Additional Secretary Mr. Banshidhar Tiwari were present.
