Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has said that Sagar Medical College will be named after the famous Jain saint Acharya Vidyasagar ji. Apart from this, giving a big gift to the Jain followers, the CM said that a Jain Welfare Board will be formed in the state. Dr Yadav said these things while addressing the Kshamavani Mahotsav organized at the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal on Saturday. This festival is celebrated after the end of the Jain festival Paryushan, in which people sincerely apologize to each other for the mistakes committed knowingly or unknowingly.
In the program, the Chief Minister said that the government will provide free building facility to Jain monks on top priority if they require a building in urban or rural areas during their stay. He said that Jain religion and culture have a glorious history. Along with the country and the state, Ujjain has also been a city that has followed Jainism for thousands of years.
Chief Minister Yadav was welcomed by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Chaitanya Kashyap at the Kshamavani Mahotsav. The Chief Minister was honoured by presenting him a memento and a citation at the event.
Dr Yadav said that for thousands of years the rulers of our country have followed the tradition of ‘live and let live’. We have never attacked any country. We have never enslaved anyone. This has been our tradition. We find examples of our culture at every step. It is right if a capable, competent and big man has a sense of forgiveness towards the small. If a big man has a sense of humility towards the small, it shows bravery. This is the philosophy of Lord Mahavir. The Chief Minister said that the acharyas of Jainism have shown us the way to move forward. Through Jain monks, we get the joy of living, inspiration, strength and support.
Dr Yadav said that when any country develops, progresses and becomes capable, it wants to influence others with its culture. We are proud that our country has always been moving towards making good use of its power, our philosophy is hidden in this. India wants to do good to its citizens by becoming powerful and be included among the best countries in the world. We feel even more proud when, despite being so powerful, India goes to Russia and Ukraine under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and gives the message of peace.
Dr. Yadav said that the state government has banned the sale of meat in the open. It is the government’s responsibility to establish law and order and good governance. The state government has decided to open Ayurvedic colleges in all divisions. We will encourage cow shelters and cow rearing. It has been decided to give bonus on milk sales. During this, the Chief Minister said that medical colleges will be inaugurated in Neemuch, Mandsaur and Seoni next month.
BJP’s state president and MP VD Sharma said that having the feeling of forgiveness is a big thing. Only one who is capable and powerful can forgive. Kshamavani is a big and sacred festival of our culture. The entire Jain community has played an important role for the country and society. He said that the Chief Minister is taking all communities and classes along. In accordance with the spirit of Prime Minister Modi, Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas is being done.
In the program, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Chaitanya Kashyap said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav himself took the initiative to organize the Kshamavani program. Dr. Yadav has worked to promote Jain philosophy. This is an important festival of the message of our culture. The Chief Minister is giving importance to all festivals and celebrations. Former minister Jayant Malaiya thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. He said that after a long time, the Kshamavani program has been organized in the Chief Minister’s residence.
Ujjain MLA Anil Jain Kalukheda, Niwari MLA Anil Jain, Sagar MLA Shailendra Jain, Shivpuri MLA Devendra Jain, Mandsaur MLA Vipin Jain, former minister Om Prakash Saklecha, former minister Surendra Patwa, former minister Jayant Malaiya, former minister Sharad Jain along with public representatives and followers of Jainism were present in the program. Mangalacharan dance and welcome song and bhajans were presented in the program. A short video film related to Kshamavani festival was shown.
