Uttarakhand news: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, while participating in a program organized at the Chief Servant Sadan at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday, distributed appointment letters to 144 candidates selected for various posts of Irrigation Department and 43 eligible dependents under the deceased dependent quota in Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. Thus the Chief Minister provided appointment letters to a total of 187 selected candidates and dependents.
The Chief Minister, while wishing all the selected candidates, called upon them to work with honesty, integrity, transparency and duty. He said that the state government has also done historical work in their interest by giving appointments to the dependents of the long -pending employees for a long time. Last year, 150 dependents were given appointment letters and today the remaining 43 eligible dependents have also got appointment.
The Chief Minister said that due to the efforts of the state government, Uttarakhand Transport Corporation has earned a profit of more than Rs 56 crore in the year 2024. He said that there was bias, rigging and corruption in the first state. But now the state government has enforced the country’s most strict anti -copying law, which has made the recruitment process transparent and merit based. The Chief Minister informed that more than 23,000 youths of the state have got government jobs in the last three and a half years. He said that the state government has adopted a policy of zero tolerance against corruption and now no one is spared in cases of corruption.
The Chief Minister, while supporting the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Swadeshi Apnao’, appealed to the people of the state to use indigenous and local products. He said that Uttarakhand is playing a leading role in the creation of self -reliant India. The Chief Minister said that the selected candidates in the irrigation department will not only prepare maps and design of projects, but will also lay the foundation for the development of the state’s irrigation sector. Candidates have been selected under the state agitator horizontal reservation quota, which is a matter of pride, Hacabinet Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, more than 23 thousand youths have got a place in government jobs in the state, which has led to a decline in unemployment rate in the state. He said that these new appointments of the irrigation department will make the department more capable and the development of the state is more capable.
