There was a ruckus during the Eid Miladunnabi procession in Mandsaur city of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. It is alleged that some antisocial element threw a stone from the procession due to which a person standing in the temple and the priest got injured. As soon as this information spread, a large number of people gathered at the spot. People sat in front of the temple and started shouting slogans demanding the arrest of the accused. After this, a tense situation arose. As soon as the information about the ruckus was received, the SP and ASP along with a large number of police force reached the spot and controlled the situation.

Police officials explained to the protesting people. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the businessmen closed their shops. Silence has spread in the market after the incident. Heavy police force has been deployed to maintain security and peace in the area. The temple priest and Hindu organizations alleged that when the procession reached Bade Balaji Temple located at Nehru Bus Stand, some antisocial element from the procession threw a stone towards the temple.

Due to this, a person standing in the temple got injured. Then the tension between the two communities deepened. In a hurry, the police took charge and took the procession of the Muslim community to its destination. After this, a large number of people gathered at the spot. There was a tug-of-war between the police and the people for a long time. Finally, people sat on the road. Mandsaur MP Sudhir Gupta said – This is an unfortunate incident. Everyone should maintain peace. The miscreants should be punished. It should be seen why the peace was disturbed.

People sat on the road in front of the temple and recited Hanuman Chalisa demanding the arrest of the accused. People warned the administration that if action is not taken against the accused soon, further strategy will be considered after two days. Hindu organization leaders Gaurav Agarwal and Vinay Dubela said that Hindu organizations had already warned the administration that special police arrangements should be made in Hindu temples coming on the route of the procession. Stone pelting has been done as per planning.

Gaurav Agrawal and Vinay Dubela alleged that people from other community had collected stones on a bus at the bus stand. When the Hindu side protested after one stone was thrown, some more stones were thrown from there. Shoes and slippers were also thrown. Balaji temple priest Sharad Dwivedi said that he was sitting in the temple. A procession of other community was going on. A stone came from the middle of the procession, which hit the head of his colleague sitting nearby. The colleague got injured in this attack.

The priest also claimed that a stone had injured his leg. When he protested, some stones and slippers were also thrown at him. Superintendent of Police Abhishek Anand said that as soon as the police came to know about the matter, they reached the spot and explained to the people creating disturbance. On the complaint of the temple priest, the Kotwali police has registered a case under sections of rioting and assault. The police is investigating the CCTV footage. The police says that strict action will be taken against those seen in the footage. There is no such thing as the statue being broken and the city being closed. People can open their shops without fear.
