There has been a stir in the railway administration due to incidents of stone pelting on Vande Bharat train, one of the premium train services of the country, in Himachal Pradesh for two consecutive days. Vande Bharat train has been targeted at different places in Una district of Himachal for two consecutive days on Saturday and Sunday. After two consecutive days of stone pelting incidents, Railways has written a letter to Himachal Police seeking cooperation in the investigation. It is a matter of relief that in these incidents of stone pelting, there was no harm to the passengers traveling in the train.
Conspiracy or mischief?
Due to these incidents of stone pelting, many glass panes of the train have been damaged. Is there a well thought out conspiracy behind the stone pelting or mischievous elements are behind it. Now this has become a big question. It is said that on Saturday, stones were pelted on four bogies of Vande Bharat train in Basal village near the district headquarters. On Sunday, two bogies of the train were targeted in Amb. These incidents have increased the concerns of the railway police and administration.

The situation is such that Railways has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of Una district, seeking cooperation. Considering the seriousness of the matter, Railway Police has registered an FIR. Police have started interrogating the migrants living near the railway track. The incident is being investigated closely. Information in this matter is also being collected from migrant workers and their children living near the railway track.

Executive in-charge of the police post Mohinder Singh said that investigation into the matter is ongoing. Efforts are being made to gather information about the attack. Even before these two incidents, there was an incident of stone pelting on Vande Bharat train on 18 October 2022. The question arises whether these incidents are the result of a well-planned conspiracy.
The incident took place near Basal village on Saturday.
According to PTI-language report, miscreants pelted stones at Vande Bharat Express going from Amb-Andaura station to New Delhi at around 1.15 pm on Saturday in Una district. Four coaches of Vande Bharat train were damaged in this attack. Officials said on Sunday that no passengers were injured in the incident. The incident took place near Basal village. In this, the window glasses of two coaches were broken while two others were scratched. The damage caused to the train is being assessed.
