The BJP government of Haryana has decided to implement sub-categorization in Scheduled Caste reservation in the very first cabinet meeting. CM Naib Singh Saini says that this will benefit those Dalit castes who have been deprived of reservation till now. The Supreme Court had given the right to classify SC reservation to the state governments. On the basis of that decision, the BJP government has taken this decision in the cabinet. BSP supremo Mayawati is furious over this decision. He said that this is part of a conspiracy to end reservation. Apart from this, there is an attempt to create division in the society.
Mayawati posted on Instagram soon after the BJP government’s decision. He wrote, ‘The decision of the new BJP government of Haryana to implement classification in the reservation of SC community, i.e. to implement a new system of quota within the reservation quota, is a conspiracy to divide the Dalits again and keep them fighting among themselves. This is not only anti-Dalit but also a blatant anti-reservation decision. Not only this, Mayawati also took the BJP high command to task for this decision.
Mayawati said that the BJP’s central leadership not coming forward to stop the Haryana government from doing so, also proves that like the Congress, the BJP is also engaged in a conspiracy to first make reservation ineffective and ultimately end it. Which is grossly unfair and BSP is strongly opposed to it. Mayawati said that in reality BSP is the name of the struggle against ‘divide and rule’ and their anti-reservation conspiracies etc. in SC-ST and OBC society by casteist parties. Our struggle to organize and unite these classes and make them the ruling class will continue.

Let us tell you that Mayawati had also expressed her objection to the decision of the Supreme Court. He then appealed to the Central Government to advocate properly in the court so that the decision can be changed. At the same time, a section of Dalits has declared this decision right. Even in August itself, when a section had come out against this decision on reservation, the Valmiki community had demonstrated in support of it at many places.
