On Sunday, anti-India slogans were raised during the protest against the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital in Jadavpur area of Kolkata. Slogans of ‘Kashmir demand independence’ were heard during a protest march. Earlier, a case was registered against unknown people in this connection. Now a new twist has emerged in this matter. It is being told that the Union Home Ministry has come into action after anti-India slogans were raised.
According to the report of Anand Bazaar Patrika, the Union Home Ministry led by Home Minister Amit Shah immediately took this matter seriously and ordered the central intelligence agencies to investigate. On Monday, a preliminary report on this matter has been sent to Delhi, which includes facts regarding the identity of the organizers of the protest, the relationship of the people raising slogans and the conspiracy behind this entire incident.
This protest march was organized to provide justice to the victim of RG Kar Hospital. They were protesting under different banners but suddenly slogans like ‘Kashmir demand independence’ started echoing. Due to these slogans, Kolkata Police has registered a case of sedition in Patuli police station. It is being told that 15-20 people have been identified in this case and their photos and detailed information have been sent to the Union Home Ministry. These people also include some former students of Jadavpur University, who have earlier been accused of being involved in anti-national movements in West Bengal.
The Home Ministry fears that some big conspiracy may be behind this slogan. Because elections are being held in Kashmir for the first time after the removal of Article 370 and 35A and in such a situation the government is serious about raising such slogans from a remote part of the country. Under investigation, it is being ascertained whether these slogans are related to any organization in Kashmir, which has become a matter of concern for the Centre. Moreover, the Center is keeping a special eye on West Bengal after the recent fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government in Bangladesh. In such a situation, the Central Government is in no mood to give any anti-national element a chance to emerge in Bengal.
