It should be noted that construction of bridges across the Ganga at these three places is possible in the near future. After the construction of the bridge, the distance between the two banks will be reduced. Therefore, these ghats will be developed from tourism point of view.

Cruise-cargo will also have stops on three new routes on the Ganga in Bihar. In view of the tourist development in the state, the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) has submitted the report of the three locations to the state government. According to this, now preparations are being made to run between Buxar to Ballia (UP), Hasanpur (Patna) to Bakhtiyarpur and Begusarai-Shamho. Regarding this, the Chief Secretary has entrusted the Revenue and Land Reforms Department with the responsibility of investigating the usefulness of the ghats and has asked them to prepare an action plan. After the investigation report of the DM of the concerned districts, the Revenue and Land Reforms Department will make arrangements at the identified site.

If the distance between two people decreases then employment opportunities will open.

It should be noted that construction of bridges across the Ganga at these three places is possible in the near future. After the construction of the bridge, the distance between the two banks will be reduced. Therefore, these ghats will be developed from tourism point of view. By operating cruise or cargo between these ghats like Kolkata, not only tourist but also economic development will be possible in Bihar. After construction of new tourist halt, new employment opportunities will be created. Youth will be able to get self-employment.

Jetty marked for additional floating jetty

Recently, in the meeting of the State Maritime and Waterways Transport Committee, there was a discussion on increasing the activity of inland water transport to benefit the population living on the river banks. The Tourism Department and the Revenue and Land Reforms Department have been instructed to identify the ghats for installation of additional floating jetty and give its complete details. So that IWAI can take action towards jetty installation.
